The JOWA SEAGUARD 15ppm Bilge alarm is designed to monitor the effluent from a bilge water separator. The alarm is approved to IMO MEPC 107(49).
The JOWA ODME 2005 Oil Discharge Monitor is designed and manufactured in accordance with the test and performance requirements for "third generation" monitors, according to IMO resolution MEPC 108(49).
The 3SEP OWS is a dual stage oily bilge water separation system utilizing differential specific gravity, coalescence plates and filtration to separate and remove free and emulsified oil. The unit is available in five different versions with the following capacities: 0.5 m3/h, 1.0 m3/h, 2.5 m3/h, 5.0 m3/h and 10.0 m3/h. The skid is optimised so that the footprint of the 3SEP OWS is as small as possible. The 1m3/h model pictured here has a footprint of only 950 x 760mm.
The unit is equipped with low pressure UV-lamps, powered by electronic high frequency ballasts, for highest efficiency and lowest power consumption. The sterilization process is microprocessor-controlled via data from the UV-sensor. In case of lamp failure the intelligent lamp monitoring system will promptly signal this occurrence, as well as the location of the broken lamp.
Sterilizing drinking water with silver is a very old method and has been adopted frequently in many parts of the world. As a matter of fact, this method goes back to antiquity.
Rehardening/pH-adjusting filter for potable water systems equipped with fresh water generators.
Sand filter to separate and remove solid particles in most water systems.
Dechlorination/activated carbon filters are used to improve the taste and smell in fresh water system.
JOWA manufactures a wide variety of hydrophores or pressure boosting units for ship and offshore use. Pressure vessels, circulation pumps and other equipment can be provided separately or as complete, ready-mounted units with pump, control cabinet piping and valves. The tanks are made of stainless steel 316L.
JOWA Emulsion Breaking Unit is designed to break apart water in oily water emulsions. The unit separates up to 80% of the water in the emulsion. The treated water is then fed to an MEPC 107(49) approved filter type/bilge water separator while the the residue is pumped to the concentrated sludge tank.
JOWA Fresh Water Units are specially designed for the offshore and marine market. They consist of all necessary equipment for fresh and hot water supply, such as:
The dosing/chlorinating unit is meant to allow the controlled dosage of a chemical in water. The chemicals can be chlorine for fresh water systems, corrosion inhibitors for main engine cooling water, pH adjustment of fresh water etc.
JOWA Discharge Protection System, DPS, has the advantage of monitoring and controlling the discharge of bilge water to prevent any accidental oil discharge. All data is logged and stored for later printout or download, giving the operator full control over the discharge process.
